"thinking of removing the comments from the website" interesting... so, if you don't like something, you might as well censor it. that makes sense. well, I'm off to post some more snarky comments. thanks for listening to my two cents.

Thank you Bob for coming out to speak to the group. I really appreciated your openness and transparency. Any communication we can receive from our elected officials is helpful to all of us, and the chance to voice our opinions on platforms like Twitter or Facebook allows us to feel like we're contributing to the leadership of this great country we live it.

I hope this meeting gave you a chance to learn new ways to listen to those that follow you, and I'm thankful that you came with that intent. I'm also glad to learn about platforms you use that I wasn't aware of, like your two YouTube channels for instance, and that you have assigned staff to help monitor these sites.

I know you catch a lot of flack from some that follow you, but please don't let a few bad apples spoil the batch for you. There IS value in the online social sphere, just remember that in any of these mediums, one must chew up the meat and spit out the bones.

Thanks also to Trey Pennington and all his hard work and to Bobby Rettew for volunteering his time to both shoot and edit the video of this event.

By the way, the TweetMeme counter is off kilter for some reason. This post has been retweeted 13 times as of this comment.

This was a great opportunity for a group of people in Greenville, SC to talk about communication and transparency with our leaders in Washington. What a great person and really enjoyed the conversation!
